The design also incorporates a taller support post that anchors a shade sail, adding an additional layer of sun protection above part of the dining zone. Shade sails are often used in conjunction with pergolas to create larger shaded areas while maintaining the open, airy feeling of an outdoor structure.
Moving through the pergola structure, the layout also connects to a hot tub area, creating a comfortable transition between relaxation spaces within the yard. At the center of this network of outdoor zones is the main focal point of the property, the swimming pool, which remains visually connected to each section of the pergola design.
